Global warming again

That does seem quite right to me.

The problem isn’t that people don’t think about consequences, but that the possible chain of consequences is potentially infinite, and we each have only partial data, and approximate models, so we are all going to be significantly wrong many times (as much as we hate that).

There are so many existential level risks present, and global warming is probably the least of them, and as such is probably a useful lever to solving them all, but only if we keep them all in mind as we develop solutions for Global Warming.

Part of that is being willing to constantly adjust to new and emerging trends and developments in systems, encouraging or damping down as necessary, adapting strategies as necessary, adapting systems as necessary, etc.

About Ted Howard NZ

Seems like I might be a cancer survivor. Thinking about the systemic incentives within the world we find ourselves in, and how we might adjust them to provide an environment that supports everyone (no exceptions) with reasonable security, tools, resources and degrees of freedom, and reasonable examples of the natural environment; and that is going to demand responsibility from all of us - see www.tedhowardnz.com/money
