The sweetest thing for someone

August 1-3,’16 ~QofDay~ Sweetest Thing For Someone

What’s the sweetest thing you’ve ever done for someone?

I have no idea.

One candidate is: in my 3rd year at Uni I was told one of my best friends had never had a birthday party, so I gave him one, for his 21st.

I did it in secret.
Cooked a 5 course meal over 3 days.
Invited 10 of the closest people in his life, including his mother.

The main course was a pheasant, 2 ducks, 4 crayfish, and everyone had their own individual quail.
Seafood entree and soup.
French onion sauce for the main roasts.
Plenty of different roast veges.
Pavlova for desert.
Birthday cake with 21 candles.

Caught most of the food myself (we were all keen hunters and fishers).

Certainly the most complex meal I ever created.
And doing it in secret with him in the flat took a bit of organisation.

About Ted Howard NZ

Seems like I might be a cancer survivor. Thinking about the systemic incentives within the world we find ourselves in, and how we might adjust them to provide an environment that supports everyone (no exceptions) - see www.tedhowardnz.com/money
