Blockchain seems to be to be the antithesis of trust, and about the most inefficient use possible of computational power.
Self signified distributed trust networks are much more powerful.
After watching that video I was left with the feeling I had just watched two people looking to use other people’s ideas for their own gain.
As you say – didn’t inspire confidence.
The whole idea of blockchain doesn’t inspire confidence – to me it seems to be just another way for cheating strategies to stay hidden in plain sight.
Why don’t we just use automation and solar power to meet the reasonable needs of everyone?
Then let everyone exercise their freedom responsibly.
And those two words “reasonable” and “responsible” seem to be potentially infinitely recursive, and requiring of constant enquiry and vigilance. Nothing even potentially capable of hard rule bound constraints.
And universal respect for life and liberty are close to universal rules.
