Consider that things like love and hate, happiness and sadness, positive and negative, are not things that exist in reality as such, they are in a very real sense software constructs.
In a very real sense, the simplest such constructs we can construct are binaries, so we must logically all start out constructing such simple binaries. The fact that logic demands that we must all have such simple beginnings, does not mean anything other than that – does not give them any reality greater than the simplest possible constructs in those particular domains.
It takes a lot of experience, and a long time, to develop a reasonable approximation of the concept of infinity, and to get the idea that the domains of distinction, algorithm, truth value, strategy, etc can be infinite.
Understanding that, and changing the habits of a brain with a lifetime habit of binary classification, are two very separate things. The latter requires a great deal of intentional practice.
