Ideapod – Experience

If you give us your time, we’ll give you the experience

Really interesting.

It seems that evolution and culture each deliver a default sets of values – likes and dislikes, at every level.

If seems that we have institutions quite intentionally created to reinforce the acceptance of sets of boundaries and to dampen down any attempt to truly examine the nature of the boundaries and what might lie beyond them.

It was interesting over 5 years ago to be told that there was nothing known to medical science that could extend the probability of my survival, to be told the cancer was inoperable and I could be dead in 6 weeks, and had a less than 50% chance of living 5 months. To be sent home “palliative care only”.

I’ve been a lifelong skeptic.
I questioned everything, examined evidence, and with nothing to lose, tested many boundaries for myself.

I gave up all the foods I liked.
I chose a regime of discipline that I have stuck to.

When there are no limits to questions, it is amazing where it can go, how perception can change.

About Ted Howard NZ

Seems like I might be a cancer survivor. Thinking about the systemic incentives within the world we find ourselves in, and how we might adjust them to provide an environment that supports everyone (no exceptions) - see www.tedhowardnz.com/money
