Solstice

Question of the Day, June 21-22, Solstice

What are you plans for entering a new season, to honor the Sun?

Played golf, got a few rays in the times the sun shone.
Shortest day of the year for us.
Cold.
Ailsa’s dog ate a 1Kg bag of raisins out of a box in the pantry, so when we got home most rooms in the house contained piles of raisin filled dog vomit – not particularly pleasant to clean up.

I’m not a great one for ritual. The elliptical orbit of the earth around the sun continues irrespective of me doing anything. I see no particular point in any rituals related to it, particularly when they come from a time that predates any real understanding of that reality.

We do normally have a little ritual around it being Ailsa’s day – given that she is the shortest person in the house, and one of the shorter ones in town.
