If you have ever taken a position and spoken out against an injustice, what were the circumstances and the consequences?

Many times.
In many different domains, with many different outcomes.

I have been speaking out against the injustice of barriers created to keep our economic system operating for many years, with little apparent outcome to date. And I am mindful of the parable of growing bamboo, where one must tend the roots for many years before the first shoot appears above ground. So I keep patient persistence.
