Drugs

25 Jan ’15 :Todays Q: DRUGS?

What attracts people to illicit drugs and how can the demand for illicit drugs be stemmed?

While accepting most of what others have written in a sense, there is also the sense that our society has become so antisocial, at so many different levels, that it is little wonder that most people turn to drugs to escape.

Lying and cheating is so systemic that many actually believe the lies they tell.

Intellectual Property is nothing but an artificial barrier set in place to gain market power.

Our education systems do little to teach the true systemic nature of the social systems within which we exist.

We are taught lies to keep us under control, and for the most part it works.

Drugs are as much a part of the system as advertising or politics.

We can transcend it all, go beyond it, but not within its own terms.

We cannot get beyond it through competition in a market, only through cooperation that transcends markets.

And clearly, we are a ways from ready to do so yet.
