Evolutionary roots of language and music

8 Oct ’14 ~Question of the Day~ Language & Music Roots

What are the evolutionary roots of language and music?

I wish I had a clear answer to that question.

There are many theories about it.

Wikipedia doesn’t have any consensus re language.

In respect of music, it seems to be something that many species appreciate.

I have no reasonable doubt that evolutionary processes were involved, but no real idea about exactly what path those processes followed – just not enough clues left behind.
