Starting Over

18 Aug ’14 ~Question of the Day~ STARTING OVER

If you could start over, what would you do differently?

Everything, because everything has changed.
Anyone starting now has a very high probability of living through the time when we get the choice to live on indefinitely, eventually being able to choose what changes (enhancements) we will incorporate into our being.

I may not make it, and I still have a chance.
At the current rate of technical progress, we should be able to get cell phone level sensors and computation and communication technology into something smaller than a red blood cell within 30 years, and have a few million of them floating around in our bodies doing real time monitoring for any potential problem and able to do a wide range of internal “first aide” within a few milliseconds of any problem happening.

A range of other changes should give us all bodies functioning at the levels of a healthy 20 year old, but with minds that retain all the lessons of life. Combine this with a world that is secure, with free food, transport, education, sanitation, accommodation and most other things; and one has a world of possibility beyond anything available even to the very wealthiest today.

It is my fondest desire to stay alive long enough to achieve that state, and we are not there yet, and there are still many “forces” working against such an outcome.

About Ted Howard NZ

Seems like I might be a cancer survivor. Thinking about the systemic incentives within the world we find ourselves in, and how we might adjust them to provide an environment that supports everyone (no exceptions) - see www.tedhowardnz.com/money
