Boring book

Question of the Day ~ April 13, 2013 ~ BOOK or MOVIE

Talk about a book or movie everyone else seemed to love and you found boring or bad.

During my 7th form year at secondary school we were supposed to read Thomas Hardy’s “The Mayor of Casterbridge”. I tried several times, and I was always asleep within two pages. I just could not read it.

I got into a bit of an argument with my English teacher, and said I would rather read the Oxford dictionary – so I was allowed to do that. While others in the class read “The Mayor of Casterbridge”, I read the dictionary.

I was part way through “F” when they finished.

I think I got the better deal.

About Ted Howard NZ

Seems like I might be a cancer survivor. Thinking about the systemic incentives within the world we find ourselves in, and how we might adjust them to provide an environment that supports everyone (no exceptions) - see www.tedhowardnz.com/money
