How Do You Reduce Your Own Suffering?
Stop arguing with reality – ie accept what is.
Suffering, in my lexicon, is a refusal to accept something that is – which is basically stupid – yet we all do it from time to time.
Pain is part of life, it comes and goes. It seems that the quicker we accept and acknowledge pain, and stop trying to resist it, the quicker it is free to go.
Suffering seems to be a spiritual event that seems to result from resisting pain (or any other aspect of reality).
So for me, accepting eliminates suffering.
There may still be pain, and it is free to simply be what it is.
