Spontaneous Healing

Question of Day March 6, 2012 – Spontaneous Healing

SPONTANEOUS HEALING.
What is meant by the terms “spontaneous healing” and “mind over matter”?
How does “spontaneous healing” occur?
Some medical doctors use these terms but most, if not all, are unable (or unwilling) to answer these questions!

I’m even a bit more cynical than Torch.
I’d say the medical establishment calls spontaneous healing anything they can’t make a profit from.
Very rarely is anything actually spontaneous.
Almost all events have probabilisticaly linked causal relationships to previous events, and various distances of linkage, that by going far enough back, link everything together.

There has been some great work done on mind body stuff – John Sarno at the NY School of Medicine has done some really great stuff – and lots of others also.

Certainly our minds have many possible ways of feeding back to our bodies, and vice versa.

Many in the medical establishment say the my survival of melanoma is a case of spontaneous remission.
Speaking as the person who is living through the experience, it is anything but spontaneous – it is the hardest work I have ever done – giving up all the comfort foods, and all stimulants; and for me it has worked.

  2. Thanks Laurie.
It is a really tricky issue. There are without doubt many great people working within the medical establishment; and there are far too many rules in all medical establishments that are more about protecting money and jobs than they are about wellness of people.
