Question of the Day September 19, 2011- One Word

If you had to pick one word – just one! – to describe yourself in a general way – that is to say, every day as opposed to just this second – what would it be?

Nexialist

[followed by]

Hi Victoria

A nexus is a coming together of different strands or paths.

A nexialist is one who specialises in bringing together diverse strands of understanding, knowledge and being. One who works at having as wide an experience set as possible, and is able to learn whatever is required by circumstance as quickly as possible. A problem solver with as broad a view as possible both of the circumstance in which he exists, and of the possibilities available, and of the consequences of choices.

A nexialist is not normally himself involved at expanding the boundaries of any specific branch of knowledge, but rather brings together those diverse strands and weaves them into a tapestry to serve the needs of the whole.

It is a term coined by A E van Vogt

I try to learn something new every day and “Nexialist” fits the bill.
