Heroes

Question of the Day September 20, 2011- Heroes

Who are your heroes? Why? Are you like them?

Thousands of them.
Most people I know see to be fighting some sort of battle, overcoming some sort of major obstacle.

Major heroes of the past include people like Plato, Aristotle, Jesus, Leonardo, Charles Darwin, Albert Einstein, and so many more. Mostly people who were willing to stand against the prevailing wisdom, and say things as they saw them, people who start new ways of thinking and being, that add to the sum of human welfare.

Closer to home, my mum and dad, both of whom had more than their share of trials, and kept on going.

Now I make an effort to see the hero in everyone, for, in truth, it is usually there.

I very much respect that wonderful practice.
