Question of the Day May 19, 2011 ~ Saying I Love You
How Often Do You Tell Your Loved Ones That You Love Them & How Do You Feel When You Do?
Very few days pass without me telling both Ailsa (my wife) and Jewelia (our daughter) that I love them.
Most days I say “I love you” many times.
It feels great.
I would say it most time I see my son also – though it can be several weeks, and occasionally months between contacts these days.
And like OM, there are many variations on the theme.
Question of the Day May 20, 2011 ~ Plan For This Year
What Is Your Plan Or Goals For The Rest Of This Year?
That’s a very good question.
I don’t have any fixed plan at present.
I have a clear big picture, but not at all certain about which direction to go next.
I need to start focusing on making some money again.
So many opportunities for contribution.
I am president of the Kaikoura Boating club, and Treasurer of the Coastal Marine Guardians; and also start my term as president of the Lions Club in 3 weeks.
I have an opportunity to to be president of the NZ Recreational Fishing Council, but at this stage, it seems like it might be a bit much in the voluntary sector on top of everything else.
I have also been doing a lot of thinking about the problems facing humanity – the combination of political, economic, and environmental issues facing humanity.
We need solar power quickly.
I think it is still possible to avoid large scale death, but we are running short of time.
The issues are complex, and not easy to communicate quickly.
We have national elections here in 6 months – so I am considering standing for parliament yet again, provided I can find an effective way to communicate.
Finding time to play golf, go tramping, spend time with Ailsa and the kids, stay blogging.
I want it all !!!
Ted – We’re big on “I love your heart.” Not sure how that came about — but that’s how we say it (accompanied by a BIG lung-deflating hug and kisses). It’s so ingrained in our son that it’s taken hold in his life with Kayley as well.
