Ailsa just cooked a superb roast of mutton, with roast veges (potatoes, pumpkin & kumara {sweet potatoe}), peas, beans and gravy.
Just for today, I relaxed the diet, and allowed animal protein to make up about 5% of my total calories for the day.
An absolutely superb meal, and a taste treat. First meat in over 6 months.
I had 5 small slices, about 2″ x 1″ by 1/8″ thick.
Tomorrow I’m back to being organic vegan.
I resisted having any alcohol, or chocolate or sweets – so I am still feeling a little virtuous.
Good for you, Ted – that’s wonderful! You could have probably enjoyed a glass of red wine too. No wonder you’re feeling virtuous. I think with that kind of restraint, you’ve got wings and a halo!
