A fresh 20 knot Southerly blowing, straight up from Antarctica. Snow is back on the hills, and spring seems a long way away.

Feeling remarkably good.
Only had one panadol yesterday, and one today thus far, very little pain.

Yesterday was Ailsa’s birthday, and we went out to dinner at the Green Dolphin. A very pleasant day, warm inside by the fire for most of it, while it rained, snowed and hailed outside, with occasional thunder and lightening.

My mind is again turning to writing, this blog instead of the book, and there will be words for the book very soon.

Tuesday I’m back down to Christchurch to talk to the surgeon about the operation.

Seems that the nerve they cut worked the lower left side of my cheek and my lower left of my lip. More control may come back over time.

My Sister Barbara coming down to visit next week – Wednesday – Thursday; should be fun.

    Thunder and lightening and snow — what a combination, Ted. I am glad to read that you are so well recovered from your surgery. Here is to continued good health and company.

    Thank you for the update Ted. I’m so glad that you’re feeling remarkably good – not in much pain.

    I see on Google news that “The Hobbit” will be filmed in New Zealand and they begin shooting in 2011. Will that be anywhere near your home?

    Hey Ted – by my calculations it’s just after 9am for you. If you’re on line would you please drop a note indicating that you’re alive and well.

    You haven’t posted for a while and there’s plenty of us folks on the other side of the world from you who think about you often. And then WORRY when we don’t hear from you …
